STORYTELLER | CREATIVE | WORLD TRAVELER
I'm a perpetually curious, music loving spirit that believes in traveling the world and loving those around me as much as possible. Weekends are for experimenting with photography, tending to the garden, home renovations, cuddling cats, browsing local markets, and if I'm lucky and find myself near the water, a sunset sail.
It all started with my grandma's Polaroid Sun 660.
I witnessed this magical contraption in action for the first time when I was five-years old, and I was hooked. It's been over twenty years since I snapped that first photo and my fondness for this art has only grown.
I have been a full time photographer for three years and love how there's always something new to explore through the camera.
A Natural Approach
The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them.”
― Charles Bukowski, Tales of Ordinary Madness
Micro-moments fill the space between celebrations in our lives. While tiny moments are modest on the surface, picture perfect moments can happen anytime, all that's needed is for someone to both recognize and capture them in all their glory.
As a photographer, my goal is to express your individuality through a collection of photos. We start by taking the time to connect over a cup of coffee. I'll ask the important questions to learn more about you and your story - This allows me to tailor our time together to best reflect you.
This platform of connection allows us to be communicative with one another while encouraging your natural personality to shine once you're in front of the camera. I'm there to capture the candid moments as they naturally appear and to gently guide you into effortless, traditional poses.
This friendly approach leads to a wholesome gallery filled with artful composition and playful candids, both the grand and tiny moments of your day.
I have had the pleasure of working with Vega for my senior design collection at my University's Fashion Event. All of the photos were brilliantly taken.
I love her artistic vision and the magic she creates with her photographic skills. Ten stars from me!
A few details about me
I've been learning Portuguese for a little over a year with the help of my online tutor (and friend!) Beatriz
When I'm not behind the camera, you can probably find me tinkering with some sort of diy home renovation project
My college degree is in finance and exercise science, and I'm a self-taught artist.
A sailboat named Kapala was my home for six or so months when a dear friend of mine invited me along for a trip to the Bahamas
I travel best when I make a home in the country I'm visiting - Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Portugal have been home to me for extended amounts of time.
P.S. If you're ever visiting Lisbon, book your room at the Living Lounge Hostel in Baixa Chiado! You'll know why as soon as you get there :)
I love, love, love listening to music! If you're looking for new tunes or just want to give a listen, you can find one of my favorite playlists here: Vega's 2021 Playlist
If you'd like to see a few favorite photos from my adventures, you can find them in the Travel Gallery
Vega was AMAZING! My fiancé and I are definitely not professional models so we were a little unsure on how to pose.
She was so great at directing us so we knew what to do. Vega was very professional and made the photo shoot fun for the both of us!
